Graf von Faber-Castell is expanding its Guilloche series with a new edition. The brand recently shared a few teaser images on Instagram, inviting followers to guess which color will be introduced. While we can only make assumptions about it based on the images shared, I’m eagerly waiting to see it live.
The Guilloche series is well known among collectors and enthusiasts for its distinctive guilloche pattern and high-quality finish, and I have to say it’s one of my favorites in the German brand’s portfolio. It’s also the only series that offers such a wide range of colors, making it a fun option for those who prefer something less classic than the wooden or metal versions.
At the end of 2024, Graf von Faber-Castell introduced a new edition to the guilloche series, the Rose Blush, a delicate fusion of shimmering rose hues and polished rose gold accents. This edition was well-received, especially for its romantic elegance.
The upcoming Sage Green edition is anticipated to offer a fresh, nature-inspired hue, adding a new dimension to the Guilloche palette. While specific details about this release remain under wraps, the addition of such a calming and sophisticated color is expected to resonate with pen users around the world.
Now that the images have been published, I must say the new Graf von Faber-Castell Guilloche Sage Green is a truly desirable edition. It’s the first green shade from the brand that genuinely appeals to me (and I’m sure I’m not alone). To be honest, I was never a big fan of the Viper Green edition, but as someone who loves green, this latest release has definitely caught my eye.
I can’t say for sure, but the metal elements on this edition look slightly darker than on the regular Guilloche editions, leading me to believe the brand may have used a ruthenium PVD coating for this version—which, in my opinion, makes it even cooler.
According to Graf von Faber-Castell’s social media channels, this edition will be available as a fountain pen, rollerball, and ballpoint pen.
Regarding pricing, we expect it to align with previous editions in the series, but we look forward to the brand’s official announcement on this matter.
