Introducing the new Sailor Storm over the Ocean Professional Gear

Sailor fans, we have good news! The Professional Gear series has just been joined by a spectacular edition and is sure to stir the imagination of so many pen enthusiasts. Inspired by Mother Nature’s incredible spectacle of light and vivid colours, the new Sailor Storm over the Ocean looks like that little spark of inspiration you need to feed your creativity and boost your writing flow. So come aboard and let’s find out what we should expect from this release!

As an edition built on the silhouette of a Professional Gear, it’s pretty clear we’re dealing with the same well-known flat top design, as for the colour palette used, we notice only two shades, one that seems to look like a navy blue with fine accents of shimmer – to recreate the vivid illumination of the sky by lightning – and the other, a very subtle touch of purple on the finial as well as on the end of the barrel for a perfect symmetry.

Still on the cap, the center band as well as the clip have been given a chrome finish, thus harmoniously matching the overall colour scheme of the pen. Moving on to the barrel, despite being magically decorated with little sparkly glitter, done even so in a subtle and tasteful way, there wouldn’t be much to add, but we already know how comfortable the grip section is, don’t we?

Now comes the exciting part: this edition is offered in three different sizes, what a wise move I’d say – a King of Pens version, Standard Fountain Pen and a Slim version, as well. For size reference, see the image below.

Being launched in three sizes makes things even more interesting because we’re talking about affordability, so there’s a model for every budget. Let’s have a look at the nib, because there are a few details I’d like to talk about as well.

And you may already know that Sailor has refined its classic and famous logo, giving it a more modern touch, well, all three models’ nibs have the new logo engraved, and on top of that, to keep the design in the same tones, the nib also has a chrome finish, which we really like! With a nib to match, the King of Pens’ nib is offered in 21k gold. The same for the Standard (21k gold) with an exception for the Slim version, whose nib is made of 14k gold.
