Following the two editions in the Flow series – Tempo and Armonia – launched in 2025, Scribo announces a new collection of three editions – Forma, Dimensione, and Memoria – continuing its exploratory journey into the most intimate nature of the creative gesture.
“If the flow is the origin, these three new interpretations are the revelation of it,” Scribo states. The Bologna-based atelier sees each edition as complementary to the others: the form (Forma) always asks for a measure (Dimensione), and every measure builds a space which, when inhabited by writing, ultimately becomes memory (Memoria).
The collection consists of three editions and is crafted from ebonite, a material long praised among seasoned enthusiasts for its organic warmth and soft tactile feel – qualities that allow for a more intimate connection between the writer and the instrument, while enhancing comfort during writing sessions.
The collection opens with FLOW Forma, presented in an intense, luminous, and textured shade of ochre yellow, whose vibrant hue symbolizes the birth of an idea and its first expression in space. The twenty-four facets, a distinctive and unique feature of the entire FLOW collection, capture the light and guide it discreetly, revealing the structure that supports the gesture. Beyond aesthetics, the pattern of the series also plays a functional role, allowing the pen to sit steadily in the hand.
FLOW Dimensione unfolds in a deep anthracite grey, an almost architectural shade that evokes the inner space where thought begins to take shape and measure.
The third edition (FLOW Memoria) comes as a metaphorical sequel to the previous two, where deep anthracite is crossed by ochre veins, like flashes of ancient light emerging from a dark material. Here, the flow has left a trace. In my view, the ochre veins resemble delicate neural paths – a subtle nod to the way memory itself forms.
As with every edition in Scribo’s portfolio, the three pens are produced in limited batches: 50 pieces for FLOW Forma and 100 pieces each for Dimensione and Memoria.
Moving on to the writing experience, each fountain pen is equipped with a piston filling mechanism capable of holding up to 1.42 ml of ink, an ink capacity most enthusiasts are comfortable with. Users can choose from two nib options (14k Flexible and 18k), both paired with the standard SCRIBO ebonite feeder ø 6.50 with two capillaries.
