The Lord of the Rings Trilogy is made up of three films, “The Lord Of The Rings Fellowship Of The Ring, The Lord Of The Rings The Two Towers and The Lord Of The Rings Return Of The King. This piece draws inspiration from all three films and more than two dozen props from the movie. There is a sterling silver model and a solid 18k gold model. At the very top of the cap strategically placed, is the eye of Sauron This eye can rotate to do a complete turn. (this cap has more details than a contract for buying a car) Turning the cap around reveals “the sting” or Frodo Baggins sword from the film. Also featured on the cap are the two towers, the Barad-dûr and Orthanc, Sauron’s stronghold in Mordor and Saruman’s citadel in Isengard. Around the backside of the cap features perhaps everyone’s favorite character Smeagol. (everyone knows the line, “My precious”) One of the coolest features of this pen is the “one ring” which separates the cap from the barrel. The ring can actually be removed.
Unscrewing the barrel from the cap reveals the Nib. The nib is 18k gold and available in extra-fine, fine, medium, broad, bold broad and 1.1mm. Engraved on the nib is the initialed symbol of JRR Tolkien. (no it is not the lord of the rings logo) The barrel features all the weapons of the main characters.
