Montegrappa I Colori Dell’Oceano – A splash of inspiration

Since 2006, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation has been providing charitable support for research, innovation, and social awareness programs dedicated to protecting the environment and promoting sustainable developments. In the last year, Montegrappa has been partnering with the Foundation to bring additional awareness to the efforts of H.S.H. Prince Albert II and his philanthropic causes.

The latest pen produced by Montegrappa to bring awareness to the environmental messaging of the Foundation is called “I Colori dell’Oceano”. Its body is a kaleidoscopic mixture of colors which represent the various shades of the ocean: from dark blues to reds and whites. Each color is highlighted by the beauty of Montegrapphite’s artisan-crafted resin to give it a high-quality polish. The use of Montegrapphite nods to environmental consciousness as artisanal work often leaves a smaller environmental footprint versus large-scale productions.

The details of this pen nod to the Monaco royal family and add a depth of regal prestige to the pen. The Monegasque acrylic rings at the cap to the House of Grimaldi fresh on the nib both function as a tie to the princely family and the efforts of High Serene Highness’s philanthropy.

Each pen is numbered with a limited quantity of 999 rollerballs and 999 fountain pens. Each fountain pen is equipped with a 14-carat gold nib available in EF to Stub 1.1. The pens are currently available through Montegrappa, with a retail price of € 1.395 (for the fountain pen) and € 995 for rollerball.
